Canadian Television Sales, the largest U.S. representative of Canadian media properties, has announced that effective today, the company will change its name to Canadian Media Sales (CMS). The rebranding more accurately reflects the companys diverse portfolio, which includes radio, digital and mobile offerings in addition to television. Canadian Media Sales also has an updated corporate logo and website (http://www.canmediasales.com).
Our new name, Canadian Media Sales, gives agencies an instant understanding of everything we have to offer, says Michael Custardo, CMS president. When we first started this company over 15 years ago, we focused entirely on television. Since then, media buys have expanded to include cross-platform solutions with radio, digital and mobile components. Weve been fortunate to grow with these industries, and have become a one-stop shop for U.S. media buyers looking to advertise in Canada.
Canadian Television Sales was created in 1997 in response to the increasing number of requests from U.S. advertising agencies looking to incorporate Canadian television into their upcoming media campaigns. The company expanded its portfolio to include Canadian radio properties in 1999, and started its online division in 2009. Over the past two years, CTS added seven mobile applications to its portfolio, which have seen tremendous success and consistently rank in the Apple Stores top apps. Canadian Media Sales representatives will continue to work with agencies to create media-specific packages or cross-platform buys across all types of media.
As CMSs media portfolio has grown, so has the staff. The company is relocating to a larger office space in New York as of October 1, 2012. The address of the new location is 545 Fifth Avenue, Suite 315, New York, NY 10017.
